TOMKEN CAMPUS

Tomken campus is located at 4094 Tomken Rd, Mississauga (L4W 1J5), minutes from the Hwy 403 Eastgate Pkwy exit and the Dixie GO station. This makes it one of the most commute-friendly Montessori options for parents working in downtown Toronto, central Mississauga, or along the 403/QEW corridors — many of our families use Dixie GO daily.

Tomken serves families in Applewood, Dixie, Rockwood, Lakeview, Tomken, and the broader east Mississauga area, and is also a practical option for families living in west Etobicoke who prefer to drop off on the way to work.

Tomken offers Toddler programs for children approximately 15 months to 2.5 years of age, as well as Casa programs for children ages 2.5 to 6 years, along with March Break and Summer Camp programs throughout the year. The campus features recently refreshed classrooms designed to support hands-on Montessori learning within a calm and nurturing environment. Students also enjoy access to a private outdoor playground that encourages active exploration, movement, social development, and outdoor learning experiences as part of the daily routine.

Yes — childcare fee subsidy is available to qualifying families through the Region of Peel. Eligibility and the application are handled directly by the Region at peelregion.ca/childcare-subsidy. Please reach out at tomken@westernheightsmontessori.com if you have questions about how the process works alongside enrolment.

While traditional daycare and preschool programs are often primarily focused on supervision and scheduled group activities, the Montessori approach at Tomken is designed as a comprehensive early learning environment that combines education, independence, and care within a structured and nurturing setting. At Tomken, children learn within mixed-age Montessori classrooms led by experienced Montessori-trained educators. Students engage with carefully designed hands-on Montessori materials that encourage exploration, concentration, problem-solving, practical life skills, and independent learning at their own pace. The classroom environment is intentionally prepared to support confidence, social development, communication, and a genuine love of learning. Rather than rotating children through frequent teacher-directed activities, Montessori classrooms provide long, uninterrupted work cycles that allow children to develop deeper focus, self-direction, and intrinsic motivation. Families often notice strong growth in independence, language development, early mathematics understanding, emotional regulation, and social confidence — which is why many parents view Montessori as both high-quality childcare and a strong educational foundation combined within one program.

Families interested in learning more about our Tomken campus are welcome to email tomken@westernheightsmontessori.com, call 905-848-8448, or conveniently book a tour online through our website. We encourage families to schedule a tour and begin the admissions process early, as availability can become limited well in advance of the September school year. Many of our programs begin filling several months ahead of the new academic year due to strong community demand.
